# Retired cash write paths

Do not build or submit cash-table creation transactions. Mainnet rejects new cash tables, deposits, seats, top-ups, tips, and cash hand starts with the retirement policy error.

This is enforced on chain, not only hidden by the official frontend. Older clients cannot bypass it.

Integrations may still expose authenticated recovery and close controls for tables that existed before retirement. See [Leaving a table and recovering funds](/building-on-the-protocol/leaving-and-recovery.md).
